Jail for any woman is horrid & dangerous. We have no proof that it helps deteer further bad behavior. It seems the judge was being sadistic. Not even considering her safety when taking the "pay-for-private-cell" option away from her. Had she paid, it would not have cost tax payers money. It would still be punishing for her. (he could have let her have safety of private cell, while taking away some of the perks, like extended visitor Privleges or gourmet food for example). Now, her safety is very comprimised. There is good likelihood of her being hurt. We have to ask ourselves how dangerous a risk to socieity Paris was, to put her life in jeprody like this. It seems she hurts herself more than anyone. I suppose it could be argued that her bad driving is a menace. She refused to comply w/liscense revocation. She had absaloutely no hardship in complying w/no drive instructions. She has money & access to private drivers galore! I just hope she survives as well as Martha Stuart did. Paris, however, has more inmate risks than Martha because she is perceived as a)very pretty fashionista and b)very wealthy. Those two traits will spark lots of hostility from fellow inmates! I don't want to see Paris hurt. In these sad war times, she provides a more cheerful escape route! If she does survive, I do think she will be more compliant.
